The Awesome: The 19th annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival took place on April 20. With the sunny and warm weather, organizers couldn’t have wished for better weather for Earth Day. Hundreds of exhibitors had stands or stages where they promoted their products. There was a big variety, from the so-called “Healing Touch” massage to samples of vegetarian sausage. I loved how visitors were able to try a lot of new things that aren’t well known to the public yet. The Festival focused on the cause, appreciation and expansion of green life style what I really liked. One could sign up for petitions and get involved very fast and easily.
The Awful: Since green products often take a lot of effort to produce them, the visitor had to pay a lot for a few. The food was really good, but I paid 11 dollars for a drink and a plate of rice and vegetables, which I didn’t expect.
The Aftermath: The St. Louis Earth Day festival really impressed me. The people working at the different stands were really friendly. I was able to try many new health, food and fashion products. I believe that the cause of the festival was important and represented very well by the festival overall.
