DeWeese trial set for May 27

Nov. 16- Former FHN teacher Donna DeWeese’s trial setting was this morning. No plea bargain was made today, but the court did set a new trial date.
DeWeese is scheduled to go before Judge Lucy D. Rauch on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. The trial will take place almost a year and a half after her indictment and a week before the class of 2008’s graduation ceremony.
On Nov. 29, 2006, DeWeese was indicted before a grand jury on the charge of a Class C Felony for theft.
According to court records, the DeWeese trial has been postponed at least three times now.
